Dinh Nguyen Kha is a young man currently in prison K at Xuyen Moc for having spoken out against the Communist government in Viet Nam . Mrs Nguyen Thi Kim Lien is his mother who is very concerned that her son is being mentally tortured to the degree that he is now very sick . Is it a deliberately move by the government to harm him ? Please read the report by Mrs Kim Lien , translated into English by Ngoc Nhi Nguyen . *** What is K3 Prison in Xuyen Moc planning to do ? ( Help ! Help us please ! My son is being harassed and deliberately harmed in prison !) At the last visit on 24th October 2014 , my son Kha told me that he was suffereing from haemorrhoids and knee joint pain , so I immediately sent medicines to the prison for him . But on the 24th November , when I went to visit him again , I was shocked and pained to see how sick he was as he walked out to meet the family . The weather was scorching hot , yet he was wearing 2 shirts underneath the prisoners garment , his eyes were dull and glazed , his face bright red , his forehead was clammy hot to touch and his body was shaking . I was horrified and asked him if he got sick ? He said : I am feeling so cold , mum , I have been sick for 15 days already , I am suffering from sinus infection , I have not been able to sleep so I get splitting headaches and feel nauseated , my mind is not stable , I am totally exhausted , mum ! Oh God ! Hearing that from my son I almost bursted into tears , but I tried hard to control myself , I did not want the 2 prison guards see me cry , as that would gratify them . I asked my son what had happened , why was he so sick ? Was it because he was beaten and tortured ? Kha said : Not exactly , but for half a month now , they put another new prisoner into the same cell as me . I dont know the name of this man . He kept the fans on 24/24 and because I have to sleep on the cold tile floor I keep getting bad chills . This man constantly harrasses me by any mean possible , making me unable to eat , unable to sleep , I repeatedly ask him to stop but he is determined , he is very aggressive and carries on challenging me . This man seems to be mildly mentally disturbed , no matter how much I tries to reason with him , he will not listen . I wrote a letter to the prison chief , asking for urgent medical treatments for my illness and requested that I be moved to another cell , but they would do nothing . Right now I feel totally exhausted , I can t even control my mind , I am worried that something really bad is going to happen , mum ! This pains me greatly , my dear friends . I visit my son every month and anything that goes wrong I would fight to have it rectified , and yet my son is still like this . I think about other prisoners of conscience , alone and isolated , would get abused much more severely . I could only try to reassure my son , and told him that I will write a protesting letter to the Chief of K3 prison in Xuyen Moc , and also to higher authorities if need be . Regarding the man who was recently put into the same cell with my son Dinh Nguyen Kha , I don t know anything about him and why he was put there ? What is the purpose of this ? I am really worried about the state Kha is in , especially in the next few days . Being a mother , I can not stop crying when knowing that my son is being tortured this way , I can only hope that he has enough strength to overcome this . My friends on Facebook , those who are lawyers and law experts , who know the laws of the socialist republic of Viet Nam , please give me some advice , as to what I can do in this situation to save my son .
