Please join me in a community call to prayer for our area schools, this Sunday at 1:00. Just pray wherever you are at that time. There have been many changes in administration, and we need to lift those leaders up in prayer. They will be making decisions this year that they have never before faced. May God give them wisdom and courage to do what is right in his sight. We also need to remember all the teachers, both old and new. May God give those teachers that are newly hired a calming peace and help us all to be the role models that He intended us to be. Remember the aids, office personnel, bus drivers, cooks, maintenance workers...that they too are able to bring glory to His name. I plan on asking God to convict the hearts of those workers that may be lost . Now more than ever we need JESUS in our schools...the more people we have that take Him to work with them, the better off we are all going to be. Let us remember the students who are just starting school for the first time..those babies are nervous and scared, may God wrap his arms around them and comfort them..Remember the parents of those first timers as well. Please remember the students that will be changing schools..going into middle or high school..may God ease the discomfort of those transitions. May God keep his hand upon each student/teacher/worker/parent that enters through the doors of our schools and place a hedge of protection around our community. I also ask you to pray a special prayer for those students who come to school dirty, hungry, and looking for attention..may God place a special person in their path that can show these children the love of God. May God protect those children who face dangers at home, those who are expected to take care of themselves, and those children who have never known how to trust. Lets also pray a special prayer for those students that may be victims of bullying...let those who tear down other children recognize their fault and correct it. Im sure I have left someone out unintentionally..but God knows my heart and my intentions. I hope and pray that we can come together as a God fearing community and lift up our schools for the glory of HIS son JESUS!! Please share this, announce it at church tonight..the more we can get involved , the better.....Sunday at 1:00 just pray wherever you are...you might even need to set a reminder in your phone.
