RENO, NV – Saturday May 3rd – Legends Outlet Mall and Lowe’s will host Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity’s 2nd Annual Playhouse Build-a-Thon. Volunteer teams will compete in building playhouses that will be sold at Lowe’s in an effort to raise donations and awareness for Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity. This event will be in front of the Lowe’s in Legends in Sparks from 9am-5pm, judging for the best Playhouse will occur promptly at 4:30pm! This fun, family friendly Playhouse Build-a-Thon will be free to the public. The public will also have the chance to cast their cash donation vote for their favorite playhouses, buy raffle tickets to win one of two playhouses during the event, participate in carnival games, buy any of the playhouses built, watch as teams build playhouses, all while enjoying food and supporting their local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Food to include, the Waffle Wagon food truck and Papa Murphy’s pizza. Raffle Prizes to include a basket of tools from Lowe’s, two tickets to an Ace’s game, and gift cards to: Grimaldi’s Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria, Olive Garden, Target, Scheels and more. Watch as volunteers from Creative Gardens, Scheels, Perk Up Coffee Shop, Lennar Homes, Q&D Construction with Paul Cavin Design, and Styles for Less compete against each other building playhouses. Enter for a chance to win one of two playhouses built by Lowe’s stores of Northern Nevada and Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity.
