Please post Anonymous: My oldest sons heart stopped after he was born. I was there and the DRs tried to push me out of the room. I did not leave. They revived him. He had less than a 50% chance of making through the night. He has a life long heart condition that can be controlled with medication. If he coded at home, he would have died. We almost lost our second son. He had a rare immune disorder at 9 months old. We were in and out of hospitals for 2 longs years. Watching my children cling to life and I was helpless. Absolutely helpless to do anything. As a father I could do nothing. I just did not want my children to die alone. 7 yrs later, I still cant sleep through the night. My triggers cause me break down and sob uncontrollably. At 40 yrs old I feel like a emotional wreck. Thinking about those years, my eyes well up.
