Please read and share publicly to as many as you can..thanks in advance. I was watching Nigel Latta being interviewed on television this morning. What he had to say is definitely food for thought for all voting in the upcoming elections. He suggests that if large corporations were to pay their fair share tax, there would be enough money to go around for example, health care, education and all New Zealanders would live in comfort (like we used to) with no poverty. This of course would, by default, have a huge impact on decreasing crime levels. He used several examples of this, i.e. Facebook paid $14,000 tax last year. This is signficantly less than I as one middle class individual paid. Once upon a time, taxes were at the top of the list prior to an election. When things worked, the rich paid higher taxes as did corporations. Nowadays, taxes are not discussed. THEY NEED TO BE DISCUSSED IN DEPTH. I will not vote a party into Government who is going to work for its mates, and not the people, the masses who vote them in. I will NOT VOTE for the existing Government who sells off large chunks of New Zealand prime land to overseas investors. And then in interviews, publicly fobs it off as a joke. This attitude is the same attitude they have towards their dumb ass population. It has to STOP. I suggest progressive Governments take a leaf out of Rarotongas book in relation to holding on to the countrys land and assets. It works, and it works well. DO YOU WANT EVER INCREASING POVERTY? DO YOU WANT YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN TO BE ADEQUATELY NOURISHED, WITH THE ABILITY TO PURCHASE NOURISHMENT? DO YOU WANT SECOND RATE HEALTHCARE AND LONG WAITS FOR LIFE SAVING MEDICAL CARE? DO YOU WANT NEW ZEALAND TO BECOME LITTLE BEIJING? (or a subset and under control of any other country) DO YOU WANT TO STRESS CONSTANTLY ABOUT MAKING ENDS MEET? DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN WELL EDUCATED? DO YOU WANT THE RETURN OF A CLEAN, GREEN NEW ZEALAND? DO YOU WANT NEW ZEALAND TO OWN ITS OWN RESOURCES? THEN DONT VOTE NATIONAL VOTE, BUT DONT VOTE NATIONAL. IF YOU DO, THE BLOOD WILL BE ON YOUR HANDS.
