Please share immediately. You might just save the world…really. Dear heads of EU and John Kelly, You are quite right: present tensions are very similar to the run up to World War Two. Please remember, however: we were all to blame. So, think: a Crimean child does not know whether they are Russian or Tatar. We can only let them decide for themselves one day. Your sanctions will only anger Lavrov, while the most affected, as always, will be the good Russian people themselves. So release the tension, remove the sanctions. Not because Putin will use them as a justification for war (which he will) – but because they unjustly hurt ordinary Russian people. Instead, why not give every child in Crimea, no matter what ethnicity, $1000 – a concrete pledge of apology and sincere good will. Or would you prefer to sanction those children? I guarantee it is cheaper than one thousand years of rebuilding the planet. Plus, Yanukovych, a true, sincere lover of the Russians, I am sure can help you foot the bill. Sincerely – the rest of the world. This won’t be a cold war. It will be a stupid one.
