Please share this post! Orchestra students at our school are extremely talented musicians and have a great desire to learn! The problem is that our school does not have enough instruments for each of our students. We have students who sit in class & have to wait for their turn to practice with an instrument. We are in desperate need of a double bass. This is an instrument that all schools should own in their respective inventories as it is not practical for students to purchase their own. More than 50% of our student body is on free and reduced price lunch and our school is a Title 1 school. Even with our obstacles, we were given an A+ grade from the Oklahoma Statement Department of Education and was named one of Oklahomas Top Ten School according to USA Today We are trying to build our inventory in order to better facilitate student growth and participation in our program.
