Pokello dumps Stunner live on TV SHARON MUGUWU • 22 JULY 2013 HARARE – Socialite and ousted Zimbabwe Big Brother housemate Pokello Nare dumped her rapper boyfriend, Stunner on international television upon her eviction. Things had been heating up in the house between Pokello and Ghana’s Elikem and the two were clearly in love as they constantly bathed together and shared the same bed. They often kissed on occasions. The queen of swag was asked by host IK what the future held for her and Elikem and she did not hesitate to declare her love. “I am seriously feeling Elikem, I am feeling him big-time.” When asked whether she would wait for him outside the house, Pokello affirmed. “I am waiting for him,” she said. As she was leaving the house Pokello could be heard telling Elikem that she loved him and that he should behave while he remained in The Chase. She also left him a gift; a walking stick carved into the Nyaminyami and told him the tale of the Kariba dam and the Nyaminyami. Elikem explained the significance to one of the housemates and vowed that he would have his walking stick with him at every eviction night. At first Pokello made it clear to Big Brother and everyone that she was in a relationship outside the house, but that later changed as she was charmed by the Ghanaian housemate. Stunner was not available for comment as his phone not reachable but he wrote a message on his Facebook profile just after the eviction. “I want to thank everyone that supported our Zimbabwean representative Pokello at the BBA show, Ndimi mune yese. “I hope all that she dreams of will come true and I wish her well now and in the future. Thank you for your support guys.” A friend of his who requested anonymity said what happened was a blow to him. “What happened was embarrassing, being dumped on an international platform like that. “Stunner knows that people are looking for him that is why he switched off his phones. “It was really obvious from what was happening between Pokello and Elikem that things were going to be rough when she came out but no one thought Stunner would be dumped publicly like that,” he said. Just a few days after Pokello went to The Chase, Stunner publicly denied being in a relationship with Pokello, but later backtracked and started supporting her at the eviction parties that were being held by her campaign team at the Book Café. Stunner had joined the Team Pokello bandwagon and told “haters” off, saying that Pokello would last long in the house. Pokello was Africa’s darling at first as she survived eviction four times. She initially received eight country votes and the following two times she had four country votes. Things began to change as time passed in the house; she almost went home the week before she was ousted as both she and evicted Malawian housemate Natasha had two country votes each, being the second lowest after Selly. Countries that voted loyally for Pokello were Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Ghana stuck with her until the end, most likely because of her relationship with Elikem, while South Africa had no choice but to vote for their Angelo who was also facing eviction. On the nominations held Monday morning Elikem received the highest number of nominations, five in total, if he is not saved at the save and replace, Pokello’s sweetheart might likely get evicted.
