Police Investigate Robbery at Cell Phone Store On Thursday, June 5, 2014 at approximately 3:35 PM Worcester police were called to Metro PCS located at 96 Belmont Street for a report of an Unarmed Robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with a female employee who stated that the incident occurred when a male suspect entered the store inquiring about purchasing a cell phone. While conversing with the sales clerk he passed her a threatening note demanding cash. The male suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen walking east on Belmont Street. The suspect is described as a Hispanic Male, skinny, approximately 5’3” tall, possibly in his late teen to early 20’s, and wearing a white and gray hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants, and carrying a red backpack. The investigation is ongoing. There were no injuries reported.
