Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was glassed in Miller last night. About 8.30pm (Wednesday 3 December 2014), a 47-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were walking on Woodward Crescent, when they approached four men at a bus stop. The group had a conversation and one man grabbed the 47-year-old around the neck, while another man hit him over the head with a bottle. A third man intervened and pulled the group apart. The man and woman then left the area and contacted police. Officers from Green Valley Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation. The injured man was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment to lacerations on the back of his head. The woman was uninjured. Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or has information about the incident to contact Green Valley Detectives or Crime Stoppers. Three of the men were described only as being Pacific Islander/ Maori/ appearance. The other man was further described as being Pacific Islander/ Maori/ appearance, 188cm tall, shoulder length curly hair and wearing dark clothing.
