They made the call during a condolence visit to the family of Momudu Ibrahim. Ugolor said: “There is no better time than now for the Edo State governor to help the helpless in pursuant of justice in cases where accused persons and victims of police brutality standing trial are financially unable to obtain effective judicial representation to pursue their matter in court. Ibrahim’s mother, Mrs Okungbowa Pat momodu, who spoke to newsmen in an emotion laden voice said the Police would be exposed as her son has never be arrested for any offence since he was born ,let alone being an armed robber as claimed by the police. ” My son was not a criminal. He was living my house which is just a stone throw from where he was shot by police. What the police told me are in two versions. They earlier told me he was a robber, later they said he was caught at a robbery scene and now they are saying he was shot in the act while trying to snatch a bag. I do not know what they mean by all this different stories, but I know the God I serve will expose the Police”.
