Police have charged a man following an alleged stabbing in Auburn on the weekend. Officers from Flemington Local Area Command commenced an investigation after reports of a stabbing at a home on Harrow Road on Saturday 26 July 2014. Police were told two men were at the home, when one of the men allegedly armed with a knife approached the second man and attempted to stab him, cutting him on the ear. The armed man then allegedly stabbed the injured man, before a third man entered the room and intervened. The armed man fled the scene and emergency services were called. The injured man, aged 28, was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition to be treated for stab wounds to his back and a cut to his ear. Yesterday at 11am (Sunday 27 July 2014), a 30-year-old man attended Auburn Police Station, he was arrested and charged with reckless wounding. The man was bail refused to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Monday 28 July 2014).
