J Bruners is our favorite place to eat if were in the mood for steak or seafood. This is a local place. The same people wait on you visit after visit. Its not fancy. Not a lot of ambiance. But the food is consistently good. Try the onions rings. You can thank me later. The salad dressings are spectacular, as are the homemade croutons. My wife gets the strip steak and calls it the best shes ever had. Ive had the filet, which is exceptional, and the salmon, which is very good. Their fried lobster is out of this world. If you go in expecting atmosphere like a fancy, big city steakhouse, you will be disappointed. This is the lake, not KC or STL. Also, if you go in expecting an inexpensive meal, you will be in for some sticker shock. If you want a great meal with great service and you dont mind paying for it, try J. Bruners.
