Poulos LoPiccolo PC Files Class Action Against US Gas & Electric. Last week Poulos LoPiccolo filed a class action law suit against US Gas & Electric, a third party supplier of gas and electric, alleging that the company violated New Jersey consumer protection laws by causing unauthorized changes to the gas and electric suppliers of Plaintiffs and other New Jersey residents. New Jersey law prohibits such unauthorized changes, a practice known as slamming. According to the Complaint, after causing the unauthorized changes, USG&E then charged Plaintiffs up to three times what the major N.J. utility companies would have charged for the same supplies.
