Score one for me! I just got a telemarketer/scammer/jerk to HANG UP ON ME! Maybe it was the poor nights sleep I had last night. Or maybe it was just my lucky day.... I answered the phone to hear Yes, maam. I am calling to give you one last chance to extend the factory warranty on your 2008 Lincoln Mark LT -- The Mark LT was THREE vehicles ago! I thought about hanging up, but I had five more minutes on the oven timer and I wasnt doing anything except waiting for the timer to go off - so I settled into my chair and said Really! I cant believe the warranty is up already. Telemarketer: Yes, weve sent you numerous notices, but this is your last chance to obtain the extended warranty... Me: Really! I am so freaking lucky you called! Telemarketer: Yes, today is your last chance. Me: Really! Damn! Im glad you called today then! Telemarketer (getting suspicious): Maam, I get the feeling you are being sarcastic. As a ford motor customer, this is your last chance to extend your warranty. Me (with as much sarcasm as I could pour into the phone): Really! I had no idea I was talking to the REAL Ford Motor company. Click... Some days youre the dog.... some days youre the hydrant. Love those telemarketers. They let me get all my passive/aggressions out so Bruce doesnt ever have to see them. lol
