Power Rangers Megaforce and Super Megaforce the big 20 year anniversey of power rangers. A tribute to a franchise that took the world by storm and has since then changed and evolved and developed from its early days developing a vast history and lore with countless unique and interesting teams, Zords and villiansd and of course powers. Spanning the present to the distant future and worlds and lands, to entirely different galaxies. So much to celebrate and enjoy. So what have we gotten, one big season of forty episodes split in half adapting 2 sentai seasons and both are incredible boring, with the main characters lead by a red ranger Troy who has made me send a gift basket and a sorry letter to Jayden from Samurai, considering I thought he was the worst oh but no Troy showed me that as Bad as Jayden was Troy is a hundred times worse. The rest of the cast then splits up into okay with Jakes actually coming close to be an actual human being with actual signs of being human and actually having an arc, yes it is to try and score a date with Gia and failing for 39 episodes. (I cannot count wahat happens in 40 because many in the states have not scene it so I shall remain silent on that count and add that a relationship between rangers and a quest to gain the affection of another character has been done so much better in past seasons. Lightspeed rescue and time force come to mind.) The sixith rangers of both halfs of the seasons are acceptable I suppose. Robo knight and Orion are okay they arent as boring as the main cast but they still aint anything to talk about. Villians well pretty boring bar metal Alice and the ark she went through and Prince Veker for making me laugh a good few times amd kept me awake unlike Malakor and the rest who just seemed so un-interesting. Loogies were a horrible name for footsoldiers and X-borgs were fine in my books. Zords Eh they grand no major complaints. Episodes were all generally crap and could be attruibed to the usual take a sentai script, translate and dont even try and fix the bloody poor english that will follow or the character inconsistanties that clash with the already poorly defined characterisation. Also cause we are jumbling up 2 deifferent sentais and mixing up the orders of how they are done we must come up with the dumbest reasons why certain characters arent around to help out others. Also while going toe to toe with Admiral Malkor, Robo Knight is in a liabary with him moirpher behind a desk since he isnt allowed one while reading. Also why dont the rangers use the battliser modes and all those Zords Gosei had for them. No reasons giving since the writers couldnt bothered. (Also His sentai counterpart is beaten early on in the Japanese Show before they get all their powers and zords) Again this happens in Super Megaforce when Vrak returns and the Rangers a do not use their ranger powers of past teams to fight him and B Orion leaves the planet because of wanting to go home to his now ruined world where he would be alone cause he was the only survivor and its very hard to rebuild a world with only one person. Havwe I mentioned how bad I fine the writing in this season? Cause the writing is bad. I can think of so many ways it comes to hurt me. I mean seriously every episode in Megaforce pretty much ended with the rangers getting some new power to save the day. Seriously anytime they are in trouble, no worries Gosei gots a new zord or power up to help bail you out. Supermegaforce Gosei Oh rangers for some unknown reason you chave unlocked the legendary powers of a previous team so have a new zord. (Facepalm into the desk) Oh and if their is ever agood question that needs answering like why dont the power rangers teleport to the command center or why Jakes who was Black in Megaforce is now green ranger in Supermegaforce. (BOOM) Gosei Oh sorry someones attacking you better go and deal with it. We will continue this conversation NEVER! or it just wont be addressed period. Also them just unlocking these powers for no reason? In Gokai9ger where they get the footage for most of supermegaforce. Its established that the ranger keys are the powers of the past Super Sentai teams who had to sacrifice their powers to stop the first bad guy invasion and that the Gokaigers now have their power. Every few episodes they weould meet a past sentai team mmember who would teach them a lesson or address a theme from their season and if they learnt it and gained that team members respect they would unlock the legendary power then. So the writers of Gokaiger would have to had worked over time so each tribute episode would have the feel of a past season they were tributing, such as the Gekiranger one with the red gekiranger Jyan teaching that succesas only come with training and improving ones self and as Master Shafu used to say Their is training in..... (Insert random job or task here.) Funny that this was one of the very few tributes episodes with an actual ranger appeared from a past season styled episode that got adapted into Super megaforce and actually made some blasted sense. Maybe because the ranger who was appearing Casey was also starring in that episode and actually helps make changes to allow the differences of the two characters Jyan and Caey to show but still get across the theme of Jungle Fury across in a fun and enjoyable way. (So ya okay so their is one episode I like even if it invovles one of troys dumbest moments. and trust me their are plenty to choose from.) So look I would like to go on and on and Maybe I will at some point but for now. If you like Megaforce and supermegaforce then thats awesome and all that. For me though. Its really really bad and whats worse. It was meant to be the big Anniversy and Gokaiger gave it so much footage of epicness and awesomeness that it seemed they could not fail, but FAIL THEY DID. THEY FAILED SO BADLY THAT MY RAGE KNOWS NO BLOODY BOUNDS. HATE JUST SO MUCH HATE. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
