Powerful testimony from a female police officer who attended our community volunteers training that was just delivered in Freetown, Sierra Leone: “It is not their fault; it is not their fault; they must feel belonged because it is not their wish to be where they are. They need love and without establishing A STRONG RELATIONSHIP with street children, we can never know their problems and this makes it impossible for us to help them”. Her only son aged thirteen took to the street just three days to his public exams the B.E.C.E. This boy was only brought back home by street workers from Freetown one month after the exams were over. Her son who later told her that he felt neglected at home is now back in school. She concluded: “As a parent, I have learnt my own lesson”.
