Pre Season Result Wednesday 30th July Banbridge Rangers Swifts 5-3 Damolly Reserves (John McCahon 2, Kyle Sergeant, Andy Mallen and a Mallen) Banbridge Rangers hosted Damolly at Crystal Park last night after the first team game with Windmill Stars was cancelled at late notice. It proved to be a very good workout for both teams on a slick pitch with Damolly opening the scoring after 11 minutes and held onto the lead until minutes before the half when John McCahon equalised. In the second half the Gers moved into a 3-1 lead within ten minutes when the two Mallens finished a goal a piece. Damolly responded by bundling a corner in near the hour mark and equalised with a low shot into the corner beyond the reaches of McMinn soon after. A free kick from Mallen saw Sergeant regain the lead for Rangers and after a few clear chances went unconverted the 5th goal was scored by John McCahon directly from a corner kick. Thanks to Brian and the boys from Damolly for the game and all the best for the season. Next up for Darren Thompsons recruits is another home tie against an Armagh Blues side on Saturday at Scarva Park whilst the First Team conclude their warm up matches with a trip to Kilkeel to take on Valley Rangers.
