Pregnant women and children incarcerated like criminals in a refugee detention centre in the middle of nowhere with no medical facilities. Housed in tents where the temperatures sometimes rise into the 40s in a hell hole infested with malaria bearing mosquitoes. My Afghan friend who spent three years on Nauru from 2001, as an unaccompanied minor, developed malaria while he was there besides post traumatic stress disorder. These two women are there now and could lose their babies. It is a crime against humanity and in clear contravention of international law and all of Australias treaty obligations!
