President Museveni has asked investors embroiled in land wrangles with residents sitting on mineral potential areas not to quit, but rather seek governments patronage to evict them. While closing the second annual mineral conference on Wednesday, attended by investors in the extractive and auxiliary industries, Museveni said investment in the country’s emerging mining sector cannot be left to shrink because residents have refused compensations to leave the prime land or cannot relocate to alternative places.
