Press Release 07/01/2013 Public Safety Director Wendell Turner Statesboro Police Department 25 West Grady Street Statesboro, GA 30458 The Statesboro Police Department has made an arrest in the homicide investigation that occurred on 06/30/2013 at a residence on Greenbriar Trail. Detective Kevin Wadley arrested the Antoinette Brady Riley for the murder of her husband, Michael Anthony Riley. Mrs. Riley was taken into custody at approximately 4:00pm on 07/01/2013. The investigation began on Sunday, 06/30/2013 when a 911 call was made at approximately 6:50am by Antoinette Riley who stated that her husband, Michael Riley, had been shot. Statesboro Police Officers arrived on scene and located both Mrs. Riley and Mr. Riley. Mr. Riley was deceased at the time of law enforcement arrival. Officers immediately secured the scene and began identifying and interviewing witnesses and neighbors. The crime scene is still being held for investigation. This case remains under investigation. Antoinette Riley was transported to Bulloch County Jail to await further court proceedings.
