Pride Destroys Marriages: There is nothing more annoying in a marriage relationship than a proud spouse. Pity the one who is married to a proud husband or a haughty wife. A proud spouse does not see the need to apologize. A proud spouse thinks they are always right, even when they are dead wrong. Even when it is so obvious that he or she is wrong, a proud spouse will find it hard to admit that they are wrong. A proud spouse would rather persist on the wrong way than admit their wrong and apologize. Pride keeps the marriage relationship at a stand still. Pride paralyzes communication between spouses. Admitting your offenses and apologizing doesn’t make you less human. Nobody knows everything. Nobody is without reproach. It is human to make mistakes. It is human to error. It is human to fail. Embrace humility and discard the marriage killing spirit of pride.
