Primary Innovation Programmes Certificate Presentation Ceremony at Vinh University on 20 August 2014 The 9-month Primary Innovation Programmes at Vinh University was successfully completed and the certificates was presented to 21 English lecturers and teachers (PToTs) on the 20th of August 2014. This British Council global course has developed training skills specifically to support the primary English language teachers. After the course, the PToTs have been developed their knowledge and skills in the study of early childhood development and language acquisition, child friendly teaching approaches and activities, developed their skills and confidence as a teacher trainer and mentor, and developed skills in observation, giving feedback and reflective teaching practice. British Council strongly believe that with this initial success, the PToTs will contribute to the improvement of primary English language teaching in order to provide for an engaging and fun learning environment for children in Vietnam.
