Prince of Peace Center is a non-profit social service agency located in Farrell, Pennsylvania. As an affiliate of the Erie Diocese Catholic Charities and a United Way of Mercer County organization, we continue to strive to support the people of our community who are in need of a hand up as they begin to restore their lives. We are dedicated to strengthening families, building community, and reducing poverty throughout all of Mercer County through our various service programs. The Center was founded in 1983 by Sister Benita Repasky. In 1993, Sister Clare Marie Beichner, SSJ, was named as the Centers second executive director; the current director, Joe Flecher, has held the position since 2005. We hope to continue, every day, operating in the spirit of the mission set forth by Sr. Benita and carried by Sr. Claire Marie and Joe: to offer our neighbors and community a hand up, not a handout.
