Pro 21:23 KJV Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. That is the simple truth. When you learn to speak at the right time and shut up at the right time, you will keep trouble away from your relationship and marriage. You can create your world with your words. Dear husband, speak prophetically into your wife’s life, business and career and God will honour it. Dear wives, be like the Virtuous woman – Pro 31:26 KJV She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. See another translation: Pro 31:26 MSG When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly. We are created in God’s image. God speaks things into existence and it is so. Do you desire a changed spouse? You want a wonderful husband and a sweet wife? Just bridle your tongue and speak the right words. Use it to your advantage. Stop the curses, abuses and the negative words. Stop the unkind remarks, the lies and the exaggerations. Start to complement, wash your wife with the word and you will see the glorious result. When you wanted to ask your wife out, you spoke positive words. Several times when you took her out, you were speaking positive words. When you wanted to propose marriage, you spoke positive words. On your wedding day, you spoke positive words. After marriage, don’t stop the positive words! If positive words initiated your relationship, it will also sustain it. The source of a thing is also the sustenance thereof. As singles, keep on speaking into your future regularly. Use your mouth well. Ladies, guard your mouth and don’t allow anybody to kiss it anyhow, keep it for your husband. Guys, leave that lady’s mouth alone! I always tell ladies, “Somebody says he wants to kiss, and you too now submit your lips as if you are submitting paper in exam hall? No!” You see, in your mouth is the power of life and death! It is your tool for reigning! You see why your mouth is precious and you should not be generous with it? The moment you have done what you are not supposed to do, you are robbed of your confidence in God! You’ll be praying in the spirit and the devil will tell you to stop wasting your time, since you used the same mouth to kiss someone out of wedlock the day before! That is what sin does. It robs you of your boldness in God and the devil capitalizes on it. However, you should know that anybody can make a mistake. If you make a mistake, there is provision in God for you to be taken care of. Go back to your father and settle it! Heb 4:16 KJV Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Heb 4:16 MSG So lets walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. HOW TO BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE 1. Be born again. It takes a regenerated spirit to control the tongue. The natural man cannot tame the tongue. Jas 3:7-8 MSG (7) This is scary: You can tame a tiger, (8) but you cant tame a tongue--its never been done. The tongue runs wild, a wanton killer. 2. Be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. 3. Speak in tongues a lot. Pray in the Spirit. 4. Read God’s words daily and regularly 5. Meditate on God’s words day and night 6. Speak God’s words continually 7. Practice the use of kind words everyday on your spouse 8. Replace negative words with positive words 9. Be slow to speak 10. Trust God to fill your mouth with seasoned words
