A healthier, less sugary lifestyle b. Usually there’s only one stand that sells water pricing from RM1-RM2 thus gaining monopoly. Therefore, it’s fair to compensate that by providing free plain water. c. To provide for the lower income group From RM 3.20 to RM 2 per serving. Saving around RM70 a month. *(Assuming eat 50 times foods with drinks at UPM cafés) d. Cost bear by the stalls won’t be too burdensome for them to continue their operations. 2. Improve Colleges washing machine and dryer a. Problems include: broken machines, not regularly maintain and have to use old 50 Sen and 20 Sen coins Alternative 1: Reopen the tender to anyone who can provide a better facility with supervision by the necessary bodies Alternative 2: Buy washing machine and dryers by ourselves. (Collect money, buy it and pay a fee per semester for maintenance) [Will be supervised by the MTM] 3. Enhance Security during Study and Exam week. a. By observation, there’s always a spike in robbing and stealing in the last 4 weeks period. b. Majority of such cases, students will not get back their laptops, camera or/and phones. c. Preventions and pre-planning need to be taken. (This will be done by having discussions, planning and implementation with those who are accustom in this field) 12 Months’ Time Target 1. Increase Organ donors among UPM students a. Able to Opt to be an organ donor when you register in UPM or an existing student. b. A symbol of a ‘Green Ribbon’ (National Transplant Registry Logo) will be included with the students matric card opted to be a donor. c. Your matric card will be a valid organ donation card for life d. Impact: UPM will be the 1st University in the World to do this. e. Fact: Malaysia is one of the lowest organ donation rates in the world; thousands died not having the needed organs each year especially at the poor/rural areas with low financial means.
