Probably not the only one but heads up anyways... Brimfield Police Department 23 minutes ago Good Afternoon.... Tonight from 10 pm until 3 am, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Brimfield Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on SR43 at Brimfield Drive. The checkpoint will be in accordance with constitutional and case law established for these events. I am past the point of trying to convince the hardcore "show me your papers please" believers that we are out there trying to usurp rights. I have one simple belief....if you are not breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about. As usual, we will keep the delays to a minimum. Officers will be friendly and courteous. If you drive drunk, you will be arrested and your vehicle will be towed. You will have to hire an attorney, go to court and generally have a frustrating few months. Part of our mission is to protect people. Drunken drivers injure and kill lots every year. When they stop driving drunk....we will stop having sobriety checkpoints.....Chief Oliver...out.
