Program Information for the week of 4/28 Safety Town Yorkville, IL---Calling all 2015 incoming Kindergartners!!! The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to join our annual Safety Town Camp! Safety Town is a hands on camp designed for incoming kindergartners that teaches them how to be safe in their community. Several safety topics will be covered throughout the week including bike safety, fire safety, stranger danger, first aid, animal safety, and more while getting daily visits from guest speakers from around the community! Safety Town begins Monday, June 9 and runs through Friday, June 13 at the Yorkville Recreation Department’s ARC Building (201 W. Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville) From 9:00am-Noon. Cost is $70 for residents and $75 for nonresidents. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a snack is provided daily. Yorkville, IL---The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking Jr. High, High School, or College students who are interested in volunteering to be a Safety Town Counselor this summer! Safety Town Counselors will be expected to attend the entire week of camp starting June 9 through June 13 from 8:30-12:30pm and will help lead small groups of kindergartners through the daily routine of camp. This is a great way to build resumes or fulfill school volunteer requirements! Applications can be picked up and returned to Shay at the ARC Building (201 W. Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville). SKYHAWKS SPORTS CAMPS Yorkville, IL---The Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department is proud to host this summer’s edition of Skyhawks Sports Camps! Camps will be held in June, July, and August at Bristol Bay 65, Yorkville Intermediate School, and the Collman Tennis Courts. Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Flag-Football, and Basketball will be offered throughout the summer. Camps cost between $89-$119 and will be held for 2 or 3 hours in the mornings for a 5 day span. The Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer a wide variety of athletic activities this summer through All Star Sports Instruction. Classes and camps offered will include soccer, t-ball, and flag football. Activities will be held in June, July, and August on various days and times throughout the summer.
