Progress! One of the people on that thread has apologized to me for unChrist-like speech, and another is at least considering and studying. The hold of these false teachers and apostles of Satan is hopefully being broken! Here was my response to one of the ladies: Stephanie your words are appreciated and I will give your suggestion all the consideration that it is due. Now two questions my friend: was Ananias leaving Jesus out of the equation when he told Saul, And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of The Lord. (Acts 22:16)? Was Jesus leaving Himself out of the equation when he said he that believes and is baptized will be saved (Mark 16:16)? The same could be asked of Peter (Acts 2:38; I Peter 3:21), and Paul (Galatians 3:26-27; Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12). Please notice my friend: This is what Jesus and His (true) Apostles said, not Mark Tabata. When I brought these things up, Clovis and Mike (self-appointed apostles) threatened me, attacked me, dammed me to Hell, and tried to HEX my entire family. Now, Im not concerned because my life is hidden with God in Christ, and my Lord Jesus will watch over my family: but dont you think that it is odd that this was the response by these people to someone who was merely pointing to the Word of God? It does not surprise me personally because a lot of people hate the church of Christ for speaking the truth in love. I count it an honor to be counted worthy to suffer for Christ. I only ask you to please carefully consider these issues. Every time baptism and salvation are mentioned together, baptism always precedes salvation (as do faith, repentance , and confessing Jesus).
