Progress report for the new lifestyle changes........... Still no cigarettes. Although I have smoked a few cigars at social gatherings and such. My O2 saturation is up to 97% which is amazing for me. Cristys is up to 99%. We are both pleasantly surprised and encouraged by this. I am doing excellent on my diet. I did allow myself to have a couple of margaritas and some pretzels Saturday night. Exercise has been lacking a bit but we have been much more active in general. I do realize it is going to take some serious effort in this department sooner than later to reach my goals. Current weight is 272 lbs on my home scale. First week weight loss is about 8 lbs. (Not a big deal for a big guy like me that can fluxuate 5 lbs. from morning to night) A good start none the less. Goal for this week is to get into the 260s. Cristy and Emma busted their butts doing some serious canning and stuff at the Tom Pecar farm last week. We have a pig being raised for us there as well as some pretty serious chickens. :) Sourcing more and more of our food outside of the grocery store is beyond satisfying and so great for us. My diet will continue to be as much 100% natural and uncooked, unprocessed foods as possible. Straight from the earth to my belly the way God intended them. I am drinking absolutely nothing but water, coffee, and tea. Sure does cut down on the bullshit. I just carry a basket of fruit and veggies everywhere we go. Zero bread, zero pasta, etc. etc. Very few grains. The new sense of life and hope within me is hard for me to articulate. I can tell you this much.........If I can do it, anybody can. I just had to stop poisoning myself and pretend like I want to be healthy. Easier said than done but it really is that simple for me.
