Progress report on hick from Hawaii in SF: Ferry rides taken = 3. Lyft rides used= 2. BART navigated successfully to destination=4. Blocks walked= 26 (at least). Rides mooched (from sister, daughter, sister-in-law, agent and lawyer) too many to count. Ethnic meals eaten=Indian, Southern Indian, Mediterranean, two kinds of Japanese, French, Italian, and a boatload of champagne. Babies hugged, kissed and played with= 2. Pounds gained= 5. New friends made= 8. Next stop: Boston, and then Prince Edward Island, Canada, for writing retreat with the amazing Holly Robinson. #happy
