Promises of God 2 Samuel “The LORD tells you that He will make you a house.” 2 Samuel 7:11 since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the LORD tells you that He will make you a house. 12 “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 2 Samuel This biography of Israel takes us through a Historic account of an anointed King Saul who dishonors God and takes Israel down with him. To a recount of another anointed king, King David’s peaks and valleys. 2 Samuel was written by Nathan and Gad. Leading up to these verses, David has been given rest from his enemies by his mighty and wonderful God! In verse 11 He tells David that He will make him a house. And a great kingdom was built. Our Father is taking it a step further in verse 12 and says I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body. (Jesus Christ our Lord) 13 God says He will establish the throne of His, kingdom forever…….Forever! It is not just a house but a Kingdom! This is establishing the promise of our Father. He will send His Son in the flesh through the bloodline of Abraham, Isaac, down through to Jesse, and David; as His word states in verse 12: “I will set up your seed after you.” Each of us has a kingdom that God will and already has established for each one of us. It is up to us to claim it. This is not the; “name it and claim it, prosperity doctrine”. No! Quit the contrary. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 If we live our live like David, worthy of the calling we have received, if we are a ditch digger or a owner of a giant corporation, our house will be established, if we first and foremost believe in the redemptive qualities and saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember it is not about the work you do but Who and why You do it for? Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 Your brother in Christ Jesus tom blumberg My Prayer for us today: Wonderful Savior, You are worthy to be praised! Awesome in power, Your love is overwhelming. Holy Spirit! Come! Come and move on us today! Father we may not be King David but what is so awesome is that You have given us the promise in verse 11thru 13 Also the LORD tells you that He will make you a house. All we need to do is love You and honor You, and our in heritance is ours for the taking. So Father as Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:1 I will do the same I call this into my life and those who read this through the power of the Holy Spirit and the precious blood of Your Son Jesus Christ; “As a prisoner for the Lord, then I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” Also I pray this; Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for…. And without faith it is impossible o please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Hebrews 11:1,2 So I hold this verse up in prayer that all that pray this believe that Jesus exists, the Holy God of Israel exists, His Holy Spirit Lives with in us and we all earnestly seek Him! Amen! Promises of God Your Throne will be established 2 Samuel 7:16 911513 2Samuel 7: 16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” It is time loved one’s, it is time! God has established you forever, if we believe in His saving grace. If we believe the blood of Jesus was poured out for you on Calvary. It is time to live out our lives as an act of love for the one who new you in ancient time, before you where in your mothers womb. Oh loved one’s my heart breaks that I am not able to express in print or even in person how wonderful and awesome, and loving and powerful, and trustworthy, our God is! He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is unchanging. Nothing can truly explain or define Him. After all He is the creator of all things. The most wonderful part is His promises. We can hold onto them no matter if we are on the peak or in the valley. The promise that is most comforting and the most exciting is this “your throne shall be established forever.” Loved ones on the surface it sounds as though God is talking about David and his seed, (his family). Quite the contrary; The blood shed on Calvary for you and me was shed to pay for our sin debt so that we may; “listen!”…….. So that we may be established as part of the heritage of David, King of Israel. And more importantly the inheritance of the one and only triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, all in one. David in his conversation with God says in verses 18-21 18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord GOD? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? 19 And yet this was a small thing in Your sight, O Lord GOD; and You have also spoken of Your servant’s house for a great while to come. Is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD? 20 Now what more can David say to You? For You, Lord GOD, know Your servant. 21 For Your word’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all these great things, to make Your servant know them. God will use your circumstances, to allow you to get to know Him! He will use your trials. Know Jesus is in the blood line of Jesse and David, Jesus defeated death, verse 21 For Your word’s sake, according to Your own heart, You have done all these great things, to make Your servant know them. If you are saying you don’t have time to grow in the grace of Lord, what are you spending your time doing? If you don’t have time to pursue the Lord what do you have time to pursue? If you do not have time to serve the LORD who do you have time to serve? If you are saying; when I have enough money, when I get my house set up the way I want it, or when I find the women or man I want, when I have all of my kids out of the house, when I get the car I want! You will never have time for the One Who really loves you! None of these things or people can even come close to loving you like God. The Lord Knows Your heart! He also is waiting for you to say here I am use me! And when you do all of those things I just mentioned will be given to you with God’s math. Or you will not desire them any more! Your brother in Christ Jesus. tom blumberg My prayer for us today: Father in heaven You are my everything! The only reason I have anything is because you allowed me to have it. You have the power to give and the power to take away! You are awesome in every way! Thank You for what you have blessed me with today! Holy Spirit come and hide me behind Your Son Jesus, show me how to Love others as Your Son has done so for me, so that I may go and love others. Give me the wisdom to pursue the things that please You and that will keep me focused on You, my loving God! I do not want to loose sight that everything I have is because You have allowed it to be. If I want something so bad that I cannot take time to worship You, pursue You, or to serve You, it is not a direction or thing or person You would want me to pursue! So give me discernment of my time, remove the business, and keep me focused on You! My loving and precious King! I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me! All things! Keep me focused on You so that I may please You! I love You so much Lord even though I don’t understand everything that takes place in my life. I love You and I thank You for adopting me into Your inheritance. Your loving and unworthy servant! Amen!
