Proud to be Canadian and able to represent my family of 4 men who served in all three services between 1939 and 2006. They have all passed on now but will never be forgotten in this generation at least. Few remaining today will see the changes needed to sustain life after Military service but ALL must remain loyal to our nation and its Leadership, to the end. Why, you may ask? Because our commitment of service to this country did not end at retirement. It simply shifted from the world theatre to the home front. There is still much to do and that means continued loyalty to our people, our leaders and our way of life; no matter how difficult the cause, no matter how long the struggle. No matter the evil that threatens our freedom and way of life, we will stay in the game. WE will not falter. We will never surrender. We have not yet yielded to bloodshed for the sacrifice made on our behalf on the battlefield; on that field of honour. Remembering: Dad, Bill and Phil Kilpatrick...today, and pledge to carry the torch for as long as I am able.
