Proud to be present at the funeral of a man I didnt even know today. Ex Raf groundcrew Harold Percival. He died with no immediate family to be at his funeral so the nursing home he lived in called for people to attend in a newspaper ad. It seemed as though half the town turned up with there being over 400 people there (most of them, myself included, happy to stand outside in the pissing rain in order to pay their respects) Just goes to show there are still decent people all over this country and patriotism isnt dead.
