Punjab is never prepared for any such calamity. If we are not on sea shore, we are on verge of Lakes like Bhakhra, Pong and Chamera, R we sure that we will never meet any such eventualities in times to come. In 1991, River Beas flood fury is still fresh in my mind when the over brim Pong water was released and it washed away total coastal Punjab line. The railways over bridge at Dhilwan was swayed away and was rebuilt after about 5 long years.
