Pusateris - the grocery store at the corner of Bay Street and Yorkville Avenue - has been fighting against the City of Torontos proposal to remove a lay-by in front of its stores that is used almost exclusively by its valet service as part of Bay Street improvements. The lay-by narrows the sidewalk in this busy area considerably and turns what belongs to the public into an exclusive-use facility. On November 4, the judge dismissed the application with costs (meaning Pusateris must pay the legal costs of the City of Torontos council on this matter). Good news.
