With rgds to this may i ask ur thought on whether ibrahim pbuh lived in mecca or palestine or both or is there evidence that he traveled from mecca to palestine or was iraq to palestine. A. Wa aleikum salaam wa rahmatullah. According to the Torah, Abraham (pbuh) lived in Ur of the Chaldees (Mesopotamia), and then traveled towards Shechem (Nablus). Hagar was sent towards Shur (Arabian Desert, Hejaz). In the Jewish Midrash it is written that Abraham (pbuh) visited Ishmael (pbuh) several times and lived again with Hagar after Sarah passed away, so Abraham (pbuh) must have traveled to Arabia. The area of Solomons (pbuh) Kingdom, from Ophir (Yemen), including the Holy Land and trans-Jordan, to Damascus (Syria) was all considered part of the lands in which the Patriarchs and Prophets (pbu them) were well known and had traveled.
