**QUESTION FROM MY INBOX** Somebody private messaged me and asked if suicide is a sin? Is it mentioned in the bible? Would anybody like to take the time to comment on this question? 1 Corinthians 6:19 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? The story of Samson comes to mind, but he did this to ungodly men...Judges 16:28-30. The bible does say dont commit murder (even self murder), does that include suicide too? You cant repent/ask for forgiveness of something if youre not alive anymore. Our bodies are the temple of God, if so...taking our own life would not be pleasing to God. Judas after betraying Jesus...hung himself (Matthew 27:5). Is God not the author of life? Should he not be the one to be in charge of when you lose your life? Exodus 20:13 Ecclesiastes 7:17 17 Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?
