Queensland Country Life (Qld 1900-1954) Saturday 1 July 1905 Page 17 FARM BUILDINGS, WYNULLA, KILCOY CREEK. However, water is apparently easy to obtain,, there being a wealth of springs all over this country, and wells sunk to but shallow depth contain a permanent supply. This may be said of those blocks that lie further to the east, Jas. Zink, 789 acres, and G. A. Zink, 877 acres, both of whom have excellent areas of grazing lands, rugged in places, but very suitable when more cleared for dairying purposes, and both these holders are steadily progressing in this industry. East of these again, in much more rugged country, are the blocks of Messrs. W. Ahearn, 912 acres, and C. A. Bloomfield, but as the day was drawing to a close, I refrained from disturbing their peaceful solitudes. Beyond the home stead of Mr. S. Horsfall comes Mr. Jas. Rogers block of 270 acres, and on the opposite side of the road the 437½ acre area of Mr. R. H. Seib. Beyond these come the boundary blocks of the Mt. Kilcoy estate, Mr. B. M. Schonfeld, 501 acres, and Theresa Schonfeld, 263½ acres, practically hemmed in with high rugged ridges heavily timbered, through which courses of beautiful water come down to feed the main creek. It is favoured land from Hopetoun right to these head waters, and has in every way given satisfaction to those who have been fortunate enough to secure a portion.
