Question, because Im completely and morbidly curious. Born and raised in Brooklyn, fortunate to have had an amazing upbringing. For those who care to answer (Ill volunteer first), how many of you sometimes get emotional today when reminded about something in your childhood ... from a work of art? Im guilty. Certain songs, for example. Send in the Clowns - forget about it, because that song had a whole other meaning when I was a kid. Paul Ankas Times of Your Life (I was way too thoughtful back then), Bill Contis Mickey theme from Rocky - dont ask. Or, admittedly - even though my last name would seem to preclude it - if I catch a rerun of Rudolph or Frosty the Snowman (yeah, I know). The musical Oliver for movies, or ... whos kidding who? The first teaser for The Force Awakens and theres an above-average chance Ill have to hold back. What can I say? Its psychotherapy time on Facebook. Hope you all dont use it against me (thatll be all too easy after this). But am I the only one? All of the above flash me back to some seriously happy or poignant personal memories. Who else will admit to gettting the slightest bit emotional when confronted with certain, random childhood connections like this? And what are those connectiions?
