Question of the day: What if Volunteers, didnt? DID YOU KNOW…In Fiscal Year 2013, our 300+ VASNHCS Volunteers donated over 43,000 hours of service, the equivalent of more than 19 Full Time paid positions. In addition, our volunteers donated more than $638,000.00 in materials, services and in-kind donations. So…what is a VA Volunteer worth? They are priceless, of course. They supplement our staff and also provide the “human touch” that our Veterans deserve and need. Perhaps, Sir Winston Churchill said it best: We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give! THE WEEK OF APRIL 6 – 12, 2014 IS “NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK” PLEASE CELEBRATE AND RECOGNIZE YOUR VA VOLUNTEERS!!
