Quick! I need someone to restore my faith in humanity! Im helping a customer with a cake. But just after writing on it, the lid slips out of my hand and lands in the middle of the cake. So I tell the customer that I would try to fix it. As soon as I really look at the damage I know this is going to take way more time and supplies then I currently have on hand. But I try to patch it up anyways. Im in the middle of that when another customer comes up and declares she needs help. Me: Im sorry, Im with another customer at the moment, but Ill be able to help you in a few minutes. C: Excuse me?!? Im a customer too! M: Yes mam, let me just finish helping my current customer and Ill be right with you. C: Are you working by yourself? M: Yes, mam. C: Wheres your manager! I want to speak to your manager! M: My manager is not here right now, but let me call one for you. C: No. I cant beleive how Im being treated! Ill go find one myself! M: Okay So a few minutes later I have found another cake that the little girl likes. Have managed not to mess it up and am just about to finish helping them when customer 2 comes back with the store manager. He helps her while I finish customer 1. Then customer 2 steps up to me and says: C: Youre racist and tonight is the last night you will ever make cakes, do you understand me? M: Uh, okay. C: No do you understand what I am saying? M: Yes, I understand. C: Good! Then she walked out. Im going to assume that she means she is going to try and get me fired, not that she is going to kill me. Thats a good assumption right?!? Anyways, how does me not dropping my current customer to help her; make me a racist?!? I dont care what color you are, you have to wait in line like everyone else! I told the store manager my version of events and he doesnt think Ill see any repercussions from this no matter who she calls. I didnt do anything wrong. But seriously, someone restore my faith in humanity.
