Quick Post: I had a wonderful epiphany today... Two weeks ago my husband and sons went on a two week trip to Colorado. While they were gone I only visited the grocery store once or twice, as a result, I ran out of my MUCH LOVED cottage cheese. During their trip I felt awesome, no aches and pains due to joint inflammation. Two mornings ago I woke up with that very familiar joint pain, my knees, fingers, elbows, feet etc... everywhere. I am very use to waking up STOVED UP so I didnt pay it much attention. As I was leaving for the gym this morning I stopped by the refrigerator and grabbed my replenished supply of cottage cheese for breakfast... Then the lightening bolt hit me, I didnt eat cottage cheese the whole time they were gone and my joints did not hurt at all. Hmmmm.... Could there be a connection??? Dairy ranks very high on the inflammation scale, especially if you have an allergy or intolerance to lactose or to the proteins in dairy, whey and/or casein. So, I am OFF of dairy for 30 days to see if that is a contributing factor to my inflammation. I am also limiting my sugar (natural forms as well, honey etc...). Guys, the bottom line is WE ARE OUR OWN HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL. You have to invest in connecting your own dots and discovering your unique chemistry. That is why I always say we each have our own puzzle to work, and part of the fun of Healthy Lifestyle Reinvention is working the puzzle. Rewarding Stuff! Bye Bye Cottage Cheese (at least for now)
