RACE UPDATE!!! We WILL be holding the CHESTER COUNTY TURKEY TROT on Thanksgiving morning at Downingtown West High School as scheduled. Due to the inclement weather we will be altering the original 5k course. The new course will be run entirely on the Downingtown School District campus and will be a two loop course. PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE BEFORE 7:45AM - ROADS INSIDE THE DOWNINGTOWN WEST FACILITY WILL BE CLOSED AT 7:45AM. With the alternate course the race will be run in 3 seperate waves, as follows: 7:55 AM - SUB 20 Minutes (6:30 Pace) 5k Runners 8:10 AM - SUB 31 Minutes (10:00 Pace) 5k Runners 8:25 AM - ABOVE 31 Minute 5k Runners / ALL Walkers 9:10 AM - KIDS RACES at the Track 9:20 AM - AWARDS CEREMONY - based on Net Time *** We understand that the course may be crowded, but we wanted to continue our Downingtown tradition by holding the race on Thanksgiving Morning. *** We are not able to accommodate strollers in the first 2 wave starts on our alternate race course. *** PARKING If you require a quick exit from the event you may want to utilize the parking at Kerr Park (Only Mile from the start) or on Water Plant Way (east of the DW complex, accessed from Rt. 282) Please visit chestercountyturkeytrot for more information, including race map.
