RE Buharis VP- Reality vs Illusion: Most SouthWesterners do not give a hoot about a Muslim/Muslim ticket because they are not rigid when it comes to Religion. In fact, you will hardly see any South West families that do not have both Religions within their family. Are we saying that Muslims and Christians are the only faith we have in Nigeria? So why all the noise about Muslim/Muslim ticket when in fact, most Nigerian leaders themselves intermarry! Nigerians should ask leaders who spreads fear about a Muslim/Muslim ticket what Religion diversity are within their own families and you will find that most of them from North to SouthWest intermarry or has Religion diversity in their families. So, why base your Vice President selection on Religion? Also, we Nigerians should ask what next after Religion based selection for office. In the future, are leaders going to base their selection on whether a candidate marries someone from his or her own Religion? His or her own Village? or discriminate based on how darker the candidate is or whether they have bigger toes or bigger noses? Also, the question is does your electricity, water, good employment, good health care, good roads and all basics provisions carries Religion on their heads? Pheewww, we are advocating for CHANGE for goodness sake! But we seem to be getting distracted by medieval nonsense that has never contributed anything positive towards our development except drama, and more drama. We will be totally free when we stop unnecessary drama that has NEVER MOVE US FORWARD AS A NATION! Any good leader who has purely the interest of Nigeria at heart will give the country who is most capable to rescue us from apparent demise and not enforce what could give us a nightmare of another Jonathanian syndrome. Leaders should trust Nigerians to vote wisely because it is ordinary Nigerians lives that are at risk not few who has alternative country to run to if we miss this important opportunity again!
