Commitment to the Lord and the work by the staff and volunteers 2. Relationship with the target audience – the youths and their leaders 3. Determination to succeed 4. Trust in their target audience – they saw potentialities in them. 5. They took advantage of favorable external and internal environment 6. They saw themselves as the agents of the Council 7. Planned, regular visits to the members 8. Training – incarnational method 9. Regular follow up 10. Role modeling – they served as examples to their target audience. 11. Practical identification with needs. B What Methods were used to achieve the strategies? 1. Biblical Principles were applied in every activity. 2. Trainings were both formal and informal 3. They backed everything up by prayer 4. They encouraged both personal and group Bible studies 5. Less emphasis on large number – they took some and mentored them. C Which of those strategies are relevant for today? 1. Primary commitment to the Lord and the work 2. We are not working in a vacuum, so relationship with the target audience is relevant and needed today 3. Determination to succeed in spite of unfavorable working environment 4. Train and Trust – Train and assign responsibilities.
