RECEIVED FROM A FRIEND: REFLECT AND PONDER: When you are hurt by people who share the same blood as you, then just remember Prophet Yusuf (upon him be peace), who was betrayed by his own brothers. If you find your parents opposing you, remember Prophet Ibraheem (upon him be peace), whose father led him to the fire. If you are stuck with a problem where there appears to be no way out, remember Prophet Yunus (upon him be peace) was stuck in the belly of a whale. If you are ill and your body cries with pain, remember Prophet Ayyoob (upon him be peace) who was more ill than you and faced the greatest of pain. When someone slanders you, remember Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who was slandered throughout the whole city. When you are lonely, recall Prophet Aadam (upon him be peace) who was created alone not a single soul in sight. When you can’t see any logic around you, think of Prophet Noah (upon him be peace) who built an ark without questioning. More importantly when you are facing the trials of life; • Poverty • Illness • Being mocked at by your own family and relatives • Assassination plots • Poisoning • Accusation of being; mad, crazy, magician. • Your own family being accused of something not true • Life in danger etc. Think about the greatest of creation, the greatest man, a mercy to mankind, the greatest Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah (Exalted is He) put these Prophets (peace be upon them) to trial, so that later generations may learn a lesson of patience and perseverance. Today we face the little of calamities and fall to our knees, can you imagine what they went through? O Allah increase our Imaan, increase the level of our patience, give us strength to face the trials of this life with perseverance, let us take heed of the lifes of the Prophets and the calamities that they were befallen with. Let us be successful of the trails and tests that come our way. Aameen. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever directs someone to a good, then he will have the reward equal to the doer of the action.” [Muslim 1893]JMT MUBARAK
