RIL Digest The perfect reflector [Prov 27:19] What do you see when you look into a mirror? Do you like what you see? Do you trust what you see? Let me take the liberty to suppose yo response: In the mirror I see myself, yes i like what I see and I trust what I see because my mirror is my perfect reflector. Guess what? This is what the almighty God who created all good things under heaven and in earth says whenever He looks at your righteous Heart. In this perfect heart, He sees Himself. Yes He likes what He sees-glory. And He trusts what He sees for He knows that the mirror of your heart has forever been straightened to reveal exactly who He is. He calls you my righteous mirror that which reveals all reality as it really is. He is not hiding away from you, but longing to face you; For He loves what He sees in you and He is pleased with you- His perfect reflector. Join the psalmist: Behold Him in righteousness and then shall you realise the reward of a perfect reflector- SATISFACTION. James concludes the matter by saying whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God- the free life!- and is faithful to it and continues in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer(who obeys), he shall be blessed(find delight and affirmation) in his doing(his life of obedience).
