RIO JARA, BRAZIL - UNTOUCHED, VIRGIN RIVER. Finally a Peacock - TopicsExpress

RIO JARA, BRAZIL - UNTOUCHED, VIRGIN RIVER. Finally a Peacock Bass river that we can say is totally virgin in every sense!! We are proud to announce that our Brazilian partners have secured exclusive rights to fish the upper stretches of a previously off bounds, completely untouched, never been sport-fished before river that is part of the huge Rio Madeira drainage system. Close to the famous Igapo Acu and Rio Matupiri (which have both consistantly provided anglers with large numbers of big fish) and only a short flight by floatplane from Manaus, this beautiful blackwater river that we call the Rio Jara abounds with feisty Three Bar Cichla temensis Peacock Bass. In an earlier exploratory trip last year, using mostly big prop baits, over a short two day period two anglers caught more than 70 Peacocks over 10lbs with some up to 20lbs. The average fish weighed in at between 9-13lbs. Most of the Peacocks here seem to be especially top-lure orientated, as in most of the fisheries South of Manaus, which is great news for you guys who crave that top water explosion!! We are offering only 3 weeks to anglers who would like to join us. Be one of the first sport anglers to ever wet a line on this river system with its lagoons and white beaches. This is a golden opportunity for veterans and newbies alike to experience some great Peacock Bass action on a totally virgin river. We have dates open as follows: August 26 - September 2 October 14 - 21 October 21 - 28 These weeks are Wed - Wed requiring anglers to be in Manaus on the Tuesday before and leaving Manaus anytime after 14.00h on the following Wednesday. Fishing will be for 1/2-3/4 day on arrival and a further 6 full days. If anyone would like to join us for a rumble in the jungle, please PM me here or email me on steve@amazon-angler for more info and an online brochure.
