RIP Brittany Maynard. Most of our Country would make you suffer an agonizing death with your terminal brain tumor, but Oregon is one of the places where common sense ruled, allowing you to end your life on YOUR terms, with Dignity. In most of America, when you are terminally sick, or elderly on your death bed, we force you to die of starvation, or other inhumane treatments. Religion will threaten you, if you dont agree to a torturous death, naturally. The medical community has discovered a myriad of ways to keep your body technically alive, well beyond the time if would have normally died, and they do it at unimaginable costs. I hope Brittany, and the class with which she left this world, will stimulate the discussion to end our current Barbarism regarding end of life.
